Hyeokyoung Lee & Yewon Lee Facade-ish lab(-or)s. is a 5.25m × 7.2m digital artwork created for the 2025 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism through field research and collaboration with metal artisans in Euljiro. Reimagining the urban facade as a surface of labor, skill, and pride, the project uses actual by-products―coil chips, perforated plates―gathered from workshops to generate architectural graphics. Layered perspectives explore the relationship between city and human. What appears as a building fragment reveals vibrant scenes of working life. After the exhibition, it will be reinstalled locally to extend its meaning.
