Bapossan Alempoua & Asseta Idogo
Burkinabe craftswomen Bapossan Alempoua and Asseta Idogo bring the rich tradition of Tiebele’s sculpted facades into Seoul’s urban setting. Their work honours vernacular architecture and ancestral symbolism. Each motif they use evokes textile patterns, music, kinship, and a worldview that values all living beings equally. Developed in close collaboration with Korean clay builders Into Earth, who use a traditional clay method adapted to local conditions, the work stands as a gesture of cultural exchange and a tribute to the value of craftsmanship.
