The concept and construction method of this wall originates from the facade of the Zhoushan Art Museum, located in an abandoned fishing port and shipyard. The structure employs a steel frame clad with tile panels set at varying angles. This creates an overlapping, scaly form that echoes the site's industrial heritage and cultural memory. The panels are overlaid with second-hand reclaimed red and grey machine-made tiles. They form a breathable building envelope that provides insulation and thermal efficiency and embodies a commitment to sustainable construction.
