A15 [Copenhagen] JITTER

AVPD
A15 [Copenhagen] JITTER
JITTER is a site-specific installation that explores the relationship between space, movement, and perception. Installed in the Bium Hall of the Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture, the work consists of two semi-transparent curtains suspended from motorized rails. These curtains are programmed to move independently, following randomized patterns generated by a computer algorithm. Their continuous, flowing movement constantly reshapes the space within the hall, creating ever-changing spatial constellations.
As visitors move through the installation, their physical pathways are interrupted, redirected, or momentarily concealed by the shifting curtains. Familiar architectural elements within the Bium Hall disappear and reappear, new corridors form unexpectedly, and temporary spaces emerge and dissolve. The work invites viewers to engage with the environment in a heightened state of awareness, observing how subtle spatial shifts can alter movement, perspective, and experience.
Through this process, JITTER frames and reframes the encounter between person and space, encouraging reflection on the fluid, dynamic nature of our surroundings.

AVPD
The artist duo, AVPD explores time, movement, and perception through minimal, conceptual installations that challenge how we experience space. Their works invite and mislead, transforming recognition into disorientation, and create performative environments where meaning emerges through the viewer’s active movement and engagement.
