FLOATING PARK : A New Urban-Nature Symbiosis
A linear park threads through segmented building masses, linking the city with nature while connecting interiors, exteriors, private zones, and shared spaces. Waste heat from offices sustains rooftop gardens year-round, where greenery cools the building, reduces energy loads, and extends into a 2km floating promenade, creating harmony between urban life and the natural environment.
Segmented Masses, Layered Streetscapes
Seven iconic volumes are stacked and offset to form a three-dimensional streetscape, integrating elevated walkways and urban infrastructure. This layered design frames views of Seoul’s green corridors and the Hangang River, establishing a new Yongsan landmark.
Reinterpreting Yongsan’s Alleys
Inspired by the history of Najin Arcade, which is part of the Yonsan Electronics Shopping Center, the project preserves local memory while introducing new cultural programs, including a 100m linear gallery open to the public. Multi-level pedestrian passages connect to the emerging Yongsan Meta-Valley, weaving heritage and regeneration into a new community hub.
