A4 [Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama] Delis Yokohama

A4 [Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama] Delis Yokohama
The building is expected to become a new landmark in the eastern part of Yokohama Station, an area drawing public attention as a base for promoting Yokohama’s street culture. With 850 aluminum grating panels of different sizes and patterns, combined into a mosaic, we sought to translate the human and unstructured atmosphere of this vibrant district along the canal into an architectural vocabulary. Normally, multipurpose buildings in big cities are viewed unfavorably. However, through the application of industrial materials as particles, we succeeded in giving the building a fresh no_expression of “noise.”
