WASP Gaia is considered a new eco-sustainable architectural model for its use of natural materials extracted from the local soil and waste from the rice production chain. It moves actively toward ecient masonry for bioclimatic and healthy purposes, with the goal of reaching a zero environmental impact. The building envelope is completely 3D printed on site through the Crane WASP: the printer has been designed with the intent of embedding natural ventilation systems and thermo-acoustic insulation systems in one solution. Gaia highlights the multiple potentials of 3D printing combined with agricultural resources, guaranteeing reduced harm to the natural world.
