Federico Cairoli Two coincidences, one geographical a region of the city of Cunha, in the state of Sao Paulo and the other material the use of clay bricks motivated the interest of three architectural firms (AR Arquitetos, Arquipelago, and Messina Rivas) to document how land, a primary raw material, could be transformed into a local vernacular resource in the construction processes of three architectural projects. In the exercise of re-imagining how everyday life shapes the design practice, the purpose of Terras / Lands is to reveal the working protocols of Ze Tabuinha and Burrico, two potters from the Cunha region, reflecting on the possible intertwining of everyday life and bodies that are interdependent in the construction process.
