SUPERELLIPSE Superellipse City is a project that uses mathematical forms, the Lame curve, also known as the superellipse, as an architectural design template for constructing images, sculptures, and furniture. Depending on the coordinates/ numbers entered, the curve can produce anything from a crossed shape to a straight line; a square, an elliptic curve, or a complete circle. This is a template suited for cities that find themselves in times of crisis and need for swift change and recovery. It is an immediately transmutable formwork. The project applies new templates to create various models of urban patterns, building designs, partitions, and furniture.
