A standard house embodies these scales of extraction; from the window frames to its concrete foundations, from the steel bolts of the doors to the glass panels of the shower, these choices have a global knock-on effect. A faux mock-up of common construction materials is used to preview parts of the building on site. 4 films are projected over, showing the contemporary mining and exploitation as violent, immense, and disastrous processes, with adverse effects on soil, topography, labor, transportation, water and food systems, and humans and non-humans alike.
