Glamping, Embracing Architecture and Nature

ArchiWorkshop (Hee-Jun Sim, Su-Jeong Park)
Glamping, Embracing Architecture and Nature
The glamping pavilion in Korea was designed by utilizing the method of stacking circular forms, inspired by the pebbles in the mountains and the river. The pavilion was designed to provide a comfortable, cozy space for people to encounter nature while minimizing its impact on the installation site. It is also a project that intentionally deviates from the reconceived notion that non-concrete, temporary structures are not architecture. By taking a closer look at the leisure- based lifestyles and camping culture, we attempted to share unique spaces that consider design, function, and, above all, safety in leisure culture.
