The manufacturing districts of the old downtown of Seoul, which grew up with the country’s economic development, are passing through a path of destiny. The outdated physical environment between redeveloped urban centers still works, but we cannot know for sure how long it will last. Seoul, which grew up with industrialization and urbanization in the mid-1960s, has been around for 60 years. The heroes of this long-standing productionprocess of Seoul have failed to find successors among the heroes of new consumption, children of economic growth. On the other hand, we can also find a new generation of people starting to set foot in the old downtown area to find history and find their place in an underdeveloped environment. For them, the old urban environment is an opportunity and a challenge to enter the city. We conduct the research centered on actors across the generations of urban manufacturing industries. Through this, the network of the urban manufacturing industry and the changes in the physical and social environment in which it is locatedare described.
