A City for Life

Medellin is a city on the watershed of the Aburra Valley in the Andes. Historically, the river in Medellin was a border that divided the village. It has now become the center of urban vitality, a point of connection for the people and the city. This inspired the present urban regeneration project through the Aburra Valley. In this context, centered on the Aburra canyon topography, we will introduce a long-term urban regeneration project that integrates and revitalizes the city. It encompasses the environmental problems of global warming and flooding, the physical issues of transportation and construction, and the socio-economic problems of poverty and discrimination. The audience will see the future of the metropolitan canyons, transformed through the image of Medellin and the Aburra Valley Play Project.
